According to Perttu Pölönen, winner of European Contest for Young Scientists, the secret behind successful innovation is that when you are interested in solving a problem, you shouldn’t be too self-critical and you might just end up creating something unique.
Music theory innovation and research on four-colour problem will represent Finnish talent at EUCYS 2013
Last week, the final of Finnish Contest for Young Scientists was held at Heureka Science Centre. In the category for high school students and under 21-year-olds two projects rose above the others and will represent Finland at EUCYS 2013 in Prague.
A year ago, some of the brightest young minds in Europe gathered to Helsinki to present their science projects and compete in European Union Contest for Young Scientists. Today, European Journal for Young Scientists and Engineers with scientific articles based on some of these projects is available online.
