If a nominated or vice representative of the university is prevented from attending, another expert may represent the university.<\/p>\n<h2>Director<\/h2>\n<p>The director handles the operational management of the network under the annual plan and prepares the decisions for the board.<\/p>\n<p>The university, where the director of the network is appointed, is responsible for the management and coordination of the network.<\/p>\n<p>The Rector of the University of Helsinki appoints the director for a three-year term, after consulting the partner universities. From 1 February 2025, Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helsinki.fi\/en\/about-us\/people\/people-finder\/jan-lundell-9011616\"><strong>Jan Lundell<\/strong><\/a> from the University of Helsinki is the network&#8217;s director. From 2013 to 2025, Professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.helsinki.fi\/en\/about-us\/people\/people-finder\/maija-aksela-9036275\">Maija Aksela<\/a><\/strong> from the University of Helsinki was the director.
