LUMA Days for teachers

The next LUMA Days will be held in Oulu, Finland, from May 6–8, 2026. As usual, the program will include workshops and stage presentations. A new feature in the 2026 LUMA Days will be the national teachers’ fair. The language of the event is Finnish and Swedish.

Do you have teaching materials or practices you’d like to present at LUMA Days? LUMA Centre Finland is currently looking for teachers’ project work to showcase at Europe’s largest LUMA education event in Lithuania. Since only four Finnish projects can be sent to Lithuania, this same application process is also used to propose your project for next year’s LUMA Days in Finland.
You can read more about the application process. Travel costs for presenters living and working in Finland will be covered, both for the event in Lithuania and for the event in Oulu.

Who is LUMA Days for?

  • All teachers of STEM subjects (mathematics, science, technology, environmental studies) and those interested in interdisciplinary teaching at all educational levels, from early childhood education to universities, who work in Finland
  • Students studying to become early childhood educators, class teachers, or subject teachers in the fields mentioned above
  • Teacher educators, researchers, and developers of LUMA education from across Finland
  • Representatives of LUMA Centre Finland’s stakeholders
  • LUMA Centre Finland staff from all over the country

You should check with your school to see if participation can be accepted as VESO training.
