The Future of the Millennium Youth Camp
The organizers of the Millennium Youth Camp have been working hard during the past few months to find the resources to finance the 2015 camp. However, as we are living in a time when money is tight, the organizers have not manage to get enough resources to go onwards with next years camp.
Though the Millennium Youth Camp won’t be organized next year, there will be other exiting things going on. The organizers are planning something for the camp Alumni and will be announcing these plans in the coming months. Furhtermore, MyScience will increase its role in serving students who are interested in science, technology and mathematics.
Though it is sad that there will not be a Millennium Youth Camp 2015, this will be taken as an opportunity to further improve the concept and maybe even come up with something that serves even a larger community of young scientists.
The Millennium Youth Camp has been organized since 2010. The main organizers of the camp are LUMA Centre of the University of Helsinki, Technology Academy Finland and Aalto University.
