ScienceSLAM+WDC+Millennium

The 4th ScienceSLAM Helsinki was held at the end of March. Next time, the 10-minute science battle will be held during Millennium Technology Week on 13 June at Helsinki Pavilion, which is built for this summer’s World Design Capital festivities.

ScienceSLAM is about making science fun, interesting, and perhaps more understandable for everyone. The fourth ScienceSLAM Helsinki was held on 27 March and during the evening the audience in the packed venue, Korjaamo, downtown Helsinki got to hear about virology, economics, traffic psychology, renewable energy, space technology, and philosophy in unconventional ways.

The winner of the evening was Lauri Järvilehto with his presentation about the power of intuition under the title “How to Mozart your intuition”.

The next ScienceSLAM will be held 13 June at brand new Helsinki Pavilion as part of the Millennium Technology Week during which the Millennium Technology Prizes will be awarded and 30 talented youth will gather to Helsinki Region for the 3rd Millennium Youth Camp.
